Summer Wedding Fun!

Summer has hit in full force here in Florida and I'm dying to find time to hit the beach!

I saw this idea for a beach ceremony and it made me run to grab my flip-flops!

Isn't it so fun?!?! They had their guests toss mini beach balls after the "I-do's!"

I just love this! They're so colorful, they stand out easily in the pictures and make such a fun and cute favor for guests.

A version of this would be neat as well for places where confetti or birdseed and rice isn't allowed. You could have mini pom-poms or solid color balls in your wedding colors for guests to toss. They'd be easy to clean-up quickly with no mess left behind at your ceremony site.

DIY Ribbon Streamers

One of our favorite venues here in Gainesville, Florida is the Historic Thomas Center . The gardens, architecture, and ballroom are just beautiful, and completely unique to Gainesville, making it ideal for a wedding. That being said, as a historic building, there are restrictions that go with it. One of the biggies that our couples run into frequently is the fact that you aren't allowed to throw anything - no rice, rose petals, confetti, bubbles, sparklers, etc. We have an amazingly wonderful couple getting married there at the end of the month. They wanted something to help celebrate the BIG KISS and came up with the idea for ribbon streamers for guests to wave. Being the crafty, wonderful, wedding planners that we are, we were on call to help! :) We thought we'd put up the step-by-step DIY instructions for you too!
